07 September
Andrej Polukord "To cut the mushroom"

"Today we were walking in the forest and found a lot of šrotas( šrotas - in Lithuanian slang, goes for scraps of metal parts) there was a some shooting range, someone was burning micro schemes... What would you say if we would make a mushroom sorting manufacture at yours? We announce an open call to collect and bring mushrooms, mushrooms that were found in the forrest or in the city. I would go in the morning to fill the whole Golf (model of WV car), maybe I'll invite friends to help me and then we bring everything to Autarkia. Everyone brings the mushrooms before 22.00 we throw everything on the tables and start sorting out, clean them with some sort of swords. In two piles- mushrooms and metal pieces (bolts, hinges, tin cans, locks ant etc.) We sort and clean so to say. And we use knifes and swords from my collection" - from the conversation with Andrey Polukord

Young Boy Dancing Group "Aging Tour"

No future, no hope, nothing to loose. Young Boys Dance Group presents the enigmatic elegy of post-human dance in the candelight.

best wishes,

The cataclysm of dance industry, apotheosis and catastrophe of digital culture, hypertonic institutional nightmare turning in to lethal pleasure. Fashion, body, sculpture and improvisations in the apocalyptic setting. Inhuman acrobatics and executed subconscious and spilled candles.

"Young boy dancing group" was initiated in 2014 as a mercurial dance collective with an ongoing alternating cast. The group deals critically with modes of dance production, digital culture, originality and institutionalisation. The work ranges from videos, fashion, sculptures and live performances which are often structured improvisations influenced by post apocalyptic scenery, acrobatics, posthumanism and performing unconsciousness.

(Autarkia at Kim? Contemporaryt Art Centre)

"The Guest", a cabaret directed by Robertas Narkus and produced by Kim? and Autarkia.

“The Guest” is a cabaret directed by Robertas Narkus & produced by Autarkia with contributions by Rainyr Askher, Gints Gabrāns, Kipras Garla, Antanas Gerlikas, Laura Kaminskaitė, Žygimantas Kudirka, Nerijus Rimkus, Antanas Skučas, and others. “The Guest” cabaret invites you to reimagining the near future as promised by sci-fi entrepreneurs. Since the artificial intelligence took over solving the problems of the economy, philosophy, scientific progress and politics, since the clash of classes is over, all secretes of the universe are solved, everything is for free, produced at automatic factories, grown in self-sustainable farms, and delivered by soft six fingered hands. One looks around – everyone is an artist, designer, DJ, model, philosopher, startupper, plumber or visionary.

"Attempting to be conscious"

Nine years later in the same location, a recent graduate from Vilnius Academy of Arts, Antanas Lučiūnas presents his latest performance. Duration 6 min.

Exhibition includes drawings by self tought artist under pseudonym "Vienturtis" (Onlyborn).

With this opening "Autarkia" launches new season. First message is simple - "Autarkia" is not an adress or certain squere meters, or even a program. Imortant - the exhibition will happen in new space.(same loacation)

10 June, Saturday, 14:00

About the film:
Donna Haraway’s groundbreaking work in science, technology, gender and trans-species relationships over the last four decades is marked by her deep commitments to feminism and environmentalism. Refusing to distinguish between humans and animals and machines, she proposed new ways of understanding our world that challenge normative structures and boundaries. Her approach to writing is equally distinct, breaking with prevailing trends in theory by embracing narrative techniques in painting a rebellious and hopeful future. Recognizing her singular talent for storytelling, Fabrizio Terranova spent a few weeks filming Haraway and her dog Cayenne in their Southern California home, exploring their personal universe as well as the longer development of Haraway’s views on kinship and planetary welfare. Animated by green screen projections, archival materials and fabulation, Donna Haraway: Story Telling for Earthly Survival is an appropriately eccentric response to a truly original thinker.

"The Metaphysics Of Beer: A Symposium Of Humans And Microorganisms "
  Vytenis Burokas

Vytenis Burokas The Metaphysics Of Beer: A Symposium Of Humans And Microorganisms is a humorous demonstration of his research and methodology that pulls ideas around philosophy, science, fermentation, rituals, inebriation, and food into a vortex. Rather than merely cite and quote his research, the artist stages an increasingly drunken discussion between himself and a crowd of philosophers, scientists, and theoreticians. In the play, Burokas ventriloquizes, and is inhabited by, a strange constellation of characters who have all dealt with the properties of the clinamen in some way, including the philosophers Aristotle, Epicurus, Lucretius, Julia Annas, and Michel Serres, the scientists Henri Poincaré and Ilya Prigogine, and the composers and theorists John Rahn and Michel Dellvile, amongst many other voices. (text by Post Brothers)

About the artist: Vytenis Burokas (b. 1990, Vilnius, Lithuania) is an artist and curator, interested in visible and invisible manifestations of history and memory fragments, documenting time passing and responding with choreography, movements, narrative to highlight traces, slips of a tongue and language. His focuse lies in rituals and happenings in social environments, architecture. Vytenis Burokas has graduated Contemporary Sculpture BA, MA at the Vilnius Academy of Arts (2009-2015) and completed the Rupert Educational Program in Vilnius (2013-2014). Burokas has exhibited in Contemporary Art Center (Vilnius, LT), Šiauliai Art Gallery (Šiauliai, LT), Komplot (Brussels, BE), Nida Art Colony (Nida, LT), Granada Film Festival (Granada, Spain), stage performance at Muiderpoorttheater (Amsterdam, NL), performances at Rupert (Vilnius, LT).

”This time the rabbit looks down: Chocolate scrying”
AnaSusana (Milena Bonilla and Luisa Ungar)

After drinking, while moving the cup counter clockwise, you form seven circles around a question. The liquid is shaping itself: after leaving the cup upside down, chocolate leftovers start to occupy their place, spirals of meaning show up and hide; their inapprehensible character plays around fears, affections and expectations, or with the idea that there is a future and there was a past.

Hot chocolate will leave the necessary stains for images to turn into visions and conversation. If the Cacao Allows it***
